Introduction
The purpose of establishing our Ph.D. program is to train outstanding research fellows in the neural regenerative medicine, which can later join this competitive research field. The main targets of research in this program is to investigate the physiological and pathological mechanism of severe CNS traumatic injury and neurodegenerative diseases, and further develop drugs or strategies that can cure or improve damages caused by severe CNS traumatic injury and neurodegenerative diseases. Our Ph.D. program will inspire students’ thinking skills and creativity and develop their abilities of independent thinking and problem solving through the complete and intensive course design, regular talks by the invited speakers, journal clubs, and participations and doing researches in the laboratories. In combined, students can utilize their learnings to contribute the development of methods against severe CNS traumatic injury and neurodegenerative diseases in either diagnostic, preventive or treatment approaches.
